Our Mission
To identify, assist, and represent worthy individuals who have spent decades behind bars, demonstrated they are transformed, and earned parole or work release.
Redemption Earned, Inc is a grassroots, non-profit organization dedicated to providing services for worthy individuals that address fundamental deficiencies in the Alabama parole process without diminishing the public’s safety or minimizing the crimes that were committed. With such services in place, our parole system could appropriately weigh rehabilitation and redemption for worthy inmates while continuing to protect the public.
Redemption Earned, Inc is a grassroots, non-profit organization dedicated to providing services for worthy individuals that address fundamental deficiencies in the Alabama parole process without diminishing the public’s safety or minimizing the crimes that were committed.
As a result, no longer would worthy individuals be told: “Despite your best efforts at making amends, you are no better than your worst moment”.
The Alabama Board of Pardons and Parole (ABP&P) is charged with the important responsibility of deciding whether parole-eligible individuals should be granted parole. Unfortunately, a combination of long-standing impediments within the Alabama parole system continue to deny worthy individuals an opportunity for parole — people who do not pose a risk to public safety and have earned redemption by being accountable for their crimes, transforming their lives, and developing skills they lacked before incarceration. These impediments persist due to an underlying root cause: There is no organization or agency in Alabama providing a comprehensive, consistent array of services to identify, assist, and represent individuals worthy of parole.

Further, these impediments perpetuate a destructive cycle whose impact extends well beyond the subset of individuals we seek to serve. Punishing candidates worthy of parole with continued incarceration – particularly the aged and infirmed – exacts a terrible fiscal and personal toll throughout the prison system that touches all inmates, their families, and employers desperate for skilled workers.
